A basic conditions for industrial extrusion of aluminum extrusions:
As mentioned before, the extrusion speed of 6063 industrial aluminum profiles is generally below 50m/min. Rapid squeezing usually refers to extrusion of extruded aluminum products from the die orifice at a speed of 60 m/min or more. Due to the large increase in extrusion speed, aluminum product quality and operational safety should be taken into account. Therefore, rapid extrusion should have certain conditions.
(1) There should be high-quality homogenized ingots. That is, the alloy composition and structure of the ingot should have the best extrudability.
(2) A properly designed and carefully processed extrusion die should be used to ensure that ingots heated with the correct process pass through the extrusion die to form qualified aluminum profiles. And there should be a cooling system for the mold.
(3) To achieve rapid squeezing, it is necessary to have a control system for isostatic and isothermal extrusion of the extruder, and at least basic isothermal extrusion conditions.
(4) There should be a traction machine, preferably a double traction machine, to ensure that the extruded product of industrial aluminum extrusions can advance rapidly along the longitudinal balance of the extrusion centerline after exiting the die. Now Europe (such as Italy) uses double-length export tables and double-pullers for fast-extrusion rear equipment. If the cooling bed is 45m, the exporting table is 90m. The two tractors are hauled alternately to meet the requirements of rapid extrusion. At the same time, the flying saw can be used to cut off the junction between the two aluminum profiles to increase the yield. .
(5) In order to ensure that the aluminum profile extrusion product will not cause any personal injury due to an operation error after flowing out from the die hole, the discharge cooling station shall be closed.
(6) For extruders that are not isostatically extruded and isothermally extruded, rapid extrusion may result in thinning of the aluminum profile at the back end. If the required wall thickness of the profile itself is thin, the thinning of the rear profile wall is likely to occur without meeting the technical requirements. Therefore, the profile wall thickness should be above 1.4mm before it is more suitable for rapid extrusion.
B measures to achieve rapid extrusion of industrial aluminum products:
Rapid extrusion can not only give full play to the capacity of the extruder, but also can greatly increase production efficiency and reduce energy consumption. The general production efficiency of rapid extrusion is 2-4 times higher than that of ordinary extrusion. Therefore, for many years, many extrusion processing technicians are considering how to control the alloy composition, structure, and processing technology, and improve mold design, manufacturing, etc., to form an optimized processing system and achieve the purpose of rapid extrusion. 6063 is the main industrial aluminum extrusion product. Many scholars and experts in Japan conduct special research on the rapid extrusion of 6063 aluminum profiles, and have obtained a lot of experience or results.
